Chiaki acted on his own! Look, I don't know about the others but I didn't know he did that until after the fact.

From Don, even, the one of us that wasn't around for the conflict we had at the beginning! [sighs and puts his hand to the back of his head, looking away] He took advantage of Don. Don made a mistake, too, but...

[just. sighs. scrubs at his face.]

*sighs* What a mess.

So much. I don't understand. We can't even get rid of Basco for good, or make him good with us. He's just gonna be there and I'm not even strong enough to take him.

Then stuff like that keeps happening between our teams. I don't want to fight, I don't want to keep hurting like this! I just want to go home. I want to be a hero again. [sitting down and hugging his knees]

Believe me, we're not looking for a fight either. It's not worth it. Chiaki doesn't have memories of when we had to work this out the first time around so he's not as inclined talk it out first.

Then why is the blame coming down on us? I don't mean to evade or sound weak, but...

We're not blaming you guys at all. It's just that you guys know Basco better than us and we need to completely understand what happened. Last we checked, you all had the keys, not him. Plus, as far as we know, this was out of the blue. We don't know what triggered him.

[nods] Talk to Chiaki, though, seriously. I'm really not happy with him for this, in any sense. He didn't talk to anybody--Don didn't either.

What's with Joe and Basco? Not everyone was attacked. She was spared. Take-chan thinks it has something to do with Joe. Basco called him in the middle of fighting Take-chan.

[frown] I'm not sure. I think Joe-san tries to stay with him from time to time so he can curb anything Basco does, but... I really don't know.

Joe's trying to do what he can, I think... but I'm not sure. It's like trying to control a giant wind.

*nods* It's kinda amazing Basco didn't do anything sooner.

Just... right now, given the month, I think he's stressed out like the rest of us--not that it gives him any excuse! But it might explain why he was acting out.

He just knocked me out again, then chained me to a post until Marvelous came to pick me up.
